Environment

Chemistry and Environment do get along with each other
Environmental protection is a central topic of Schlötter, with the avoidance of environmental impacts being of primary importance, while their reduction and removal is only secondary. We promote an active environmental protection through extensive research work and the implementation of the results achieved into new processes, including, but not limited to:
  • lead- and cadmium-free chemical nickel electrolytes
  • chromium (VI)-free post-treatments for zinc and zinc alloys
  • lead-free tin alloys and chromium electrolytes on the basis of chromium (III)
  • cobalt-free passivation processes
For these reasons we are certified to  ISO 14.001 (PDF 160 KB).
